MINUTES OF COMMITTEE MEETING Date: 15th February, 2005 Location: Home of Eleanor Stephenson – Weafgreen Court Present: Robert Brierley (chaired the meeting), Barrie Gallacher, Eleanor Stephenson, Chris Walta, Bob Strickland, John Cott Apology: Jim Breen 1. OPENING Robert chaired the meeting and welcomed members to 2005. 2. BUSINESS OF THE MEETING 2.1 Recruitment of new members and people to help with the work. Strategies to have more people help with the work and develop a pool of people who could contribute in some ongoing capacity were discussed. Eleanor would like a flyer to give out to people who visit the area. Members who have connections with local schools to be approached about discussing possible links between curriculum initiatives and contributions to activity in the Back Creek area. Kingswood – Robert, Care – John, Holmesglen – Malcolm. Robert also said he would contact Greenfleet about their participation. 2.2 FOBC website. Could the site be updated please Jim? 2.3 BIRD SIGHTINGS AND FROG SONGS Pobblebonk frogs have been heard and the Horsefield Bronze Cuckoo was sighted. 2.4 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AGM scheduled for April 3 at Robert Brierley's home at 3 Nicholsdale Rd at 4.00pm 2.5 NEWSLETTER Robert to prepare Newsletter to distribute by February 28. Printing to be arranged with Bob Stenholt by Bob Strickland. More money was spent then received in 2004 because of the grants received the previous year.
